A.N. Chandramouli, is a Founder Director of AASSC, representing BCIC-Bangalore Chamber of Industry & Commerce where he served as President. He conceived the idea of setting up a National Skill Council for Aerospace & Aviation, when he was Vice President of BCIC in 2012. He formed a Taskforce of Industry leaders from various segments of Aerospace & Aviation and submitted a Proposal which was then approved by NSDC, when he became the President of BCIC in 2014. To augment the efforts of BCIC, he then collaborated with SIATI & later with HAL, thus giving the necessary credibility and sustainability to the council. He is now an active participant in the Council as a General Council member as well as Director, under the Chairmanship of HAL Chairman.

Since 2010, Chandramouli is employed as the Managing Director, of Starrag India, a Swiss MNC in High end machine tools of 15 decades heritage, very popular in Aerospace machining applications as well as other industries such as Power Generation, Transport, Industrial, Watches, Medical Implants, Oil & Natural gas etc. In this capacity, he set up a State of Art manufacturing facility and Technology center in Bangalore Aerospace Park, and established the famous WMW brand of Horizontal Machining Centers with a significant local content under Make In India vision. Prior to Starrag, from 2004, he was holding position as CEO of Makino India, a Japanese MNC in machine tools.

In his over 3 decades of Industrial career, Chandramouli has held many Leadership positions in diverse industries such as Machine Tools (Starrag, Makino), Electrical Industry( Lapp, Cooper), Consumer Durables (Amtrex Hitachi appliances), Consumer products ( Unilever- Ponds division), Trucks ( Tata Motors).

He setup a Vocational Training center at Starrag and also at Makino to impart skills for CNC machine tool industry, both for the skill demands of his captive requirements as well as his customer’s requirements. He set up many Technology centers also at Makino.

He is highly passionate for Strategic alliances, Industrial product marketing, Innovation, Quality Management Best practices, World Class Manufacturing & Skilling initiatives with a clear focus on Customer orientation in the organizations he worked for.

He has also contributed to the industry and society through his positions as Chairman of QCFI- Quality Circle Forum of India- Karnataka, President of BCIC-Bangalore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Member of Manufacturing Committee in CII, Executive Committee Member of IMTMA, and championing “Ease of Doing Business” in the Global Investor Meetings of the Govt of Karnataka.

Chandramouli is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Trichy (RECT), and Post Graduate in Management from IIMC (Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta).
