Rémi Maillard is the President of Airbus India & Head of South Asia region. In this role, Rémi leads Airbus’ businesses in South Asia. He is responsible for commercial aircraft sales and business development, and also manages Airbus’ regional footprint, which includes engineering, innovation, customer support and services and training. He also drives Airbus’ top defence and helicopters campaigns and the company’s ‘Make in India’ programmes.

Prior to this, Rémi was the Head of Business Unit Services at Airbus, where he was responsible for the growth of Airbus commercial aircraft services business and overseeing maintenance, upgrades, flight hour services, and training operations with a focus on creating value for customers and enhancing their operational performance.

 

Rémi joined Airbus in 2008 and has held several leadership roles. He started his career at Airbus Helicopters, leading a transformation programme for the company’s Research and Development activities. Rémi then served as the Chief Engineer of the Tiger programme before playing a key role in the development of the H175 programme and it’s Entry-into-Service. He also held the position of Head of Development Chief Engineers spearheading engineering activities for major helicopter development programmes (H160, H175, X6, X9, Skyways), also managing rotorcraft architecture, pre-design and Styling Centres of competences.

Prior to joining Airbus, Rémi worked as an Associate Director with a consulting firm specialising in industrial strategy. Rémi holds degrees in Engineering and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris.

Rémi is married with two children. He is passionate about aerospace, innovation and runs triathlons.
